I deal for you 2 days in Chiang Mai to sample some of the delights and attractions Chiang Mai has to offer.
The first day will start with city tour by drive around the old city of Chiang Mai which is older than 700 years old then visit the most 2 famous temples in Chiang Mai.
First, visit Wat Suan Dok where the ashes of Chiang Mai’s royal family are interred. Then go to the historical place - Doi Suthep Temple , get a chance to experience the magical view of Chiang Mai as the city lights begin to light up below. Receive an unforgettable private blessing ceremony and watch the evening chanting ceremony of the temple’s monks.
Enjoy the magnificence of the temple with its Golden Chedi glowing and spectacular views of Chiang Mai City and its surroundings. A must visit!
Stop to have lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch continue our tour to Handicraft Village at Sankhamphaeng to view the manufacture of famous Chiang Mai and Thai product such as silk, Celadon, paper umbrellas and more!
In the evening you will have dinner at Khantoke Dinner, native food of the north, such as fried chicken, chili sauce, pork curry( Gang Hang Le) and crispy noodles at the Old Cultural Center (vegetarian or halal food is on request) . Hill tribe dances will be performed at the restaurant daily night.
The second day will spend your half-day with the elderly elephants so we will visit Thai Elephant Care Center. First, the staff will brief you all about the place, elephant and reasons why they must open this foundation. After that, you will go around the camp to see their elderly elephant and also feed them by hand. Learn how to make herb medicine and make them for the elephants. Visit Elephant cemetery then walk along the valley down the river with the elephant for give them a bath. After spend your half day with the elephant, it will be a time for lunch, served at the orchid and butterfly farm as Thai buffet lunch. Afternoon tour, we will visit elephant poo poo paper factory where you can see and learn how to recycler it. Return to hotel at late afternoon.
