Head to the hills to explore the majestic landscapes of Doi Inthanon on foot. Leave Chiang Mai’s bustling streets behind and walk to a Karen hill tribe village, getting a glimpse at their rich traditions and culture. Continue through the National Park, encountering exotic wildlife, lush forests and cascading waterfalls.
Today will begin at 8.30. Spend a day at Doi Inthanon National Park. Venture away from the buzz of Chiang Mai’s city centre, driving into the hills for a of trekking through the pristine landscapes of Thailand’s north.
The adventure begins with hike to Karen hill tribe Village and Pha Dok Siew Waterfall. Meet the local to discover their tradition ways of life and unique culture. Learn about their work at the mountainside coffee plantation which produces high-quality beans sold throughout Thailand. Continue walking deeper into the lush forest, catching glimpse of towering peaks and mountain streams on the way. Stop for photos or simply to relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Stop for lunch at the 2nd waterfall, Wachirathan Waterfall. After lunch, you can walk and enjoy the scenery around before heading back to Chiang Mai and return to hotel.
